So who is to blame for Englands defeat

The ref for awarding penalty when it was outside

McLaren because he is not inspirational

Gerrard for being on £100k a week and being unable to score from 2 yards

Nope for me it is Robinson. Kick him out for feck sake. My U9 goalkeepers know that you push the ball away from the goal and that if it is in the air they should catch it. smile

For me its the manager, can anyone remember what achievements he's got in the English game .............erm NO !!

Yes get rid of Robinson too, he should stick to doing drinks.

Also far too much money in the English game, hence to many foreign player in our games steeling our money(and thats not being racist) which stunts the progression of english players.

Just my thoughts confused

Not enough passion for playing for their country either. Whatever people say abuot Beckham he REALLY cared about his country. They will all be back laughing at the fans picking up their over sized pay packets at the weekend.

I blame the FA for not having the bottle to appoint the right management team.

I blame Ray Clemence and the other coaching staff (what is he being paid for).

I blame the players who cannot accept collective responsibility on the field irrespective of McLaren's obvious shortcomings.

I blame my parents for making me English and having to suffer this persistent dross.

I blame the media for over-hyping our football and players.

Rant Over.

Bring on the REAL LIONS on Saturday! biggrin1

(I mean Wembley FC not the rugger chappies)!

I blame Roman the Russki for promising the Russian team a £1,000,000 win bonus.

Having said that, I didn't see the game, but heard in our club after it was pretty dire.

I also thought the Jocks performance was dismal ! That game I did see !

I at first blame the ref for making such a decision without consulting his linesman. Yes it was a foul but ask the linesman where he thought the infringemnet happened.

Secondly I blame Robinson for not firstly positioning himself correctly and also for pushing a shot out that even Mike Catt could catch.

I agree with the patriotism side as we never seem passionate before the kick off. Look at the Rugby team singing the national anthem before their games. It is bound to raise you up.

so one of you lucky lads is England Manager away to russia.

First choice left back injured. Do you play an established full back or a centre half out of position still quite inexperienced?

As you have selected two short lads up front , two even shorter lads on the wings and you have to pick a keeper who doesnt command his box in the air, do you pick the centre half to help out at corners or a more mobile full back to cope better during open play?

and a puzzler from saturdays game.

Your main goal scorer owen is recovering form injury/surgery, but fit enough to play today. You have a similar replacement Defoe, not playing much for club, fit but perhaps not 100 % sharp, needs a game and a goal.

You are three up early on and decide to take off owen to save him for big midweek game, youre not sure he'll make two full games in five days.

The games gone stale, do you put on Defoe, spark up crowd, boost his confidence, have him in good form and frame of mind for Wednesday if needed?

Or pack the midfield, happy with a three nil against inferior side, sod the crowd and you never pick defoe anyway?

he should go after last nights disgrace

not a fan at all , from the start as well not just on the band wagon , he was part of the sven set up and should have gone then and we appoint a whole new team with fresh ideas not the same old tosh we see every game ............

fair play to campbell and richards thought they both played well

Thought it was the sort of match Campbell loves and he didnt disappoint. Put that Kent Carragher to shame. 11 Campbells would of won the match cos he WANTED to play for his country.

Definately his fault!! We should never be in a position where we had to win in Russia to qualify as runners up - we should've had it tied up and be in pole position. The Macedonia game at home and the draw away in Israel was the problem, not so much the defeat in Russia

Also, I agree that Robinson is to blame to a degree as he is low on confidence and is making mistakes more frequently now. However he is a footballer and like every other footballer his dream must be to play for his country so as long as that twat keeps picking him, he'll keep playing. He's not gonna turn round and say..."sorry gaffer, I don't fancy this one"
