Your Thoughts on England

To be fair Kev England played quite well apart from that 10 minute stage where Russia scored 2 goals, Gerrard should have scored though and right now we would be celebrating the fact that we will be in Euro 2008, but for now COME ON SCOTLAND!!!

Back to the original question Steve Mclaren is another. I said for day one of his appointment that he is not the right man for us and apart from a few results i have not been convinced otherwise.

He simply doesn't have the pedigree to being an international manager. No point sacking him until the Croatia game though.

Consistent improvement over a number of years until other matters took over!

Margate I mean, not England.

Who knows what the future holds. I remember "Fergie" being within hours of losing his job. People saying "3 years" is enough time to "prove Himself"?, he must go. Though he was a Uefa cup winner with little, was he good enough to manage a "BIG TEAM "?. "Look what happened".

"Who holds the future of English football in his hands"?. Is it another "foreign" manager?. I believe so. Perhaps not as International manager (though I would love to see him given the Job).

"Arsene Wenger."

I am by no means a Arsenal supporter, though i love watching this new Arsenal side play. These are Arsene's boys. Mostly brought in "Ajax style, from around the world as youngsters, there obvious talents molded to Wengers idea of how football should be played.

The "FA" in the guise of Sir Trevor Brooking Say's it will take at least 15 years to make bring the generation of england players through that are comfortable on the ball from the back, through midfield into attack and, take us on to the "World Cup".

In local football i have seen a team of youngsters who are being coached this way, they are being taught comfort on the ball, taught to look up, taught to turn into space, taught to move of the ball, taught to be complete footballers. This is the way, the start.

"Arsene Wenger" says he has 6 or so young English players coming through the lower ranks at Arsenal, who should be good enough to play in his team. I hope he is right, for "Englands sake".

"KEEP THE FAITH".
