Our keeper didn't have a shot to save all day and we spent 80% of the second half in the last third of the pitch. Even I got over the halfway line on several occassions - blood everywhere!!

 

I wouldn't dare accuse J R of being biased tho....

 

Highlight of the game was the spectator making a 'worldy' save behind the goal from the strike in the last minute. He was at full stretch to his right and even rolled over about 3 or 4 times when he landed! I was pissing myself!!

Slightly off topic, but I like to keep the Dorking threads going

 

Went to Whyteleafe v Walton & Hersham tonight and was surprised to see ex-Chicks centre half Will Jenkins at no.9 for Walton. Playing target man next to ex-AFCW man Mark Peters in a little and large partnership. He scored the opener too in a 4-1 win for them. Did he ever play up front for Dorking? Wasn't bad in the role to be honest.

he was very assured in a back three if I recall, looked very likely to progress, on reflection perhaps too slightly built for a stopper / centrehalf , he could have done a good job in any position at Dorking, and they had a good side then.

Always really rated Will, big and strong. Think you must be confusing him with someone else TSF.

Still at Bunstead, I believe Dave. Haven't seen him to speak to for a few weeks now.

DD, I thought he was a top player at Chicks but just a bit small framed for centrehalf, though big enough at that level. There again I may just be comparing him with my own fine athletic build.
