Dorking FC

Recommended Posts

A lot of people were put off going afterwards as there was some uncertainty about the gate receipts.

I dont know anything about Martin Collins but I bought the ticket for the game from behind the bar at the clubhouse.

I remember it well , the "ticket" came out of one empty box of crisps and the cash went in another (not-so)empty box.

Tv was there, local businesses sponsored the extra stands and Policing I think, should have been a decent pay day for the club.

I thought that was pre collins days myself, but I couldnt tell you who the chairman was then.

Did you know Meadowbank has played host to a number of former and current Football league clubs, in friendlies and in competitive games?

There have been over three thousand there in recent times (i am old though) on at least four occasions, I wonder how many current CCL clubs can say that?

(partly thanks to AFC wombles)

"chicks slaughtered" says Dorking ad and then carries the few lines from the website on the seven nil.

no team line up. bit more on the three nil win kick starting the season.

Horsley announce they are now Leatherhead reserves!Leatherhead players will sign for Horsley and play for them if needing a fitness boost post injury.

And the council MVDC get another moan in their general direction Leatherhead FC want to create an all weather pitch and pay for it, allowing the community to benefit, council not happy with that, and they arent helping the athletes either down at Pixham Lane, where the chairman of the athletic club blames a lack of dialogue with the council as the reason no improvements being made there.

a three nil defeat away was not a bad result to a side in the top three.

This was a particularly credible result as at least five players dropped out with flu symptoms on the morning of the game.

The police and the East surrey health authority have been informed of this latest attempt to ruin the club, Defra officials are expected later today.

Lets not hope its foot and mouth, then.

I heard the team has been ravaged by heavy colds and flu.

I know I'll be accused of being biased, but E & E certainly did not deserve the 3 points. A point a piece would have been fairer

Both sides were bad in the first half. DFC were lacking a strike force, and E & E's goal in the 2nd half was definitely more by luck than judgement.

Anyone got any transfer news for the coming week ?????????
