Any updates on how he is progressing.

When i heard it was broken ribs-i thought that sounded like at least 6 weeks out; but there was some form of 'official' posting i believe that said it would be 2 weeks.

 

I think we are now into the third/forth week, and i suspect my original thoughts of 6 weeks will be right; but would be a massive bonus imo if he came back very very soon.

 

Anyone know how he is progressing ?

Last I heard Michael it was deffo 6 weeks.

I was talking to him yesturday and he said 2 weeks to me.

We do, as i said to June last night he has come leaps and bounds to since his first season for us.

Looked OK - not hesitant as you might expect when coming back from injury.

 

May be a solution for the defence & midfield crisis (with Harte gone & Macca being suspended.

Dean always did well at left back, but not so sure he is a right back.

 

Think we need him in midfield really-may not say much but he is probably our most creative player who can play the odd killer pass'

Trouble is MM that Louis Smith is struggling as a full back - being beaten for pace, he looks far more comfortable alongside Dan Young (I fear that if he plays full back for much longer it'll totally destroy his confidence and could set his progress as a defender & first team regular back quite a bit). Jay is solid as a centre half but we miss him in midfield.

Dean has played on the right wing and is quite accomplished as a defender - hence my suggestion.

Must admit ,i have only ever seen DS on the left, but take your word for it .

 

Just goes back to the fundamental issue that we have always been a central defender short-and now a full back.(plus Skinner did the club and RT no favours by being sent off again.

 

Can understand that its in the best interests of all for harte to have left; but you would think that you would reach an agreement whereby he is held to his contract and maybe you compromise and say play saturday games only;until you find a replacement.

Well Harte looks to have played his last game whatever.

The reason given was the bank he works for wanted him in on Saturdays but in the Thanet Times today it says another club in the Rymans are after him but Trotty has block any move

That sounds like a cancel contract but hold registration which is not unusual particularly in these circumstances. It would also be no surprise that someone else may have come in for him - perhaps offering more flexibility and much shorter travel times at elast to home games.
