Recreating last year

I think the time has now come where we recreate the atmosphere of last year and dont care how much we are losing by etc. lets just enjoy the fact that we are still a team!!!!!

Will try but its all a bit difficult, I know i personally am a lot more depressed about it this year than last because (and i admit i didnt see Farnborough who sounded like a good outfit) so far this season we have been beaten by some real [****!!****]. Id rather see us get Tonked by AFC or Chelmsford than lose by the odd goal to the likes of Marlow.

Agree Marcus; last night it felt like being at a proper football match with a big crowd and good ground.

No disrespect to Abingdon, but losing 3-0 to a village side where you can park your car behind the goal was too much to bare.

And of course last season was a bit of a last hurrah - we knew we were doomed in January and were going to lose every week, and it would be a very long time before we would grace the Premier Division level and wanted to go out with a bang.

 

From the matches I've been to this year, which admittedly isn't many, there hasn't been a lot to cheer about

That's the problem, last season we went to good grounds, came up against good teams and got slaughtered. We knew we were down by October and therefore every game we had a chance to "go out with a bang".

 

Also this season we have a lot of the big voices missing a lot of the time. Graham, Radders and Gary are missing behind the goal for various reasons, Marcus can't do Tuesdays and I don't lead so it always going to be quieter.

 

Personally there is nothing I've found enjoyable about the first half capitulation against Abingdon, or the second half surrenders to Marlow and Paulton so it is hard to stand there singing songs for no good reason other than to show my support. I've done that by turning up, spending my cash, buying the shirt etc.

 

It is all very depressing.
