Unfortunately, it is NOT safe to assume that BB. Don't know whether the procedure has changed, but normally the same officials take control of cup replays.

It isn't as common as it used to be, we have had a few replays where different officials have been assigned in the event of a replay.

The only reason i ask is because both sets of fans agreed the ref was a little bit card happy.

Would be a shame to see him doing likewise again tonight.

I think its been mentioned on here before that we wont have the same officials as Friday as the Ref's gone on his holidays

The referee tonight was a complete disgrace, ruined a good game between two well matched sides by displaying a total ignorance of the Laws. Why do we have to put up with such incompetance.It completely ruined my night as a neutral and what a waste of £9.

Does anyone know what league he normally ''officiates'',it must be a kids sunday morning league; thanks Warren Atkins for wasting my and loads of others time and money

Could it be a case of referees at higher levels spotting offences that referees at our level normally miss or let go?

Could be...I didn't think he did a lot wrong and was probably one of the better refs I have seen this season...

Between the two refs over the last couple of games this one was a lot better,

 

Not just because we won (because THEY are bound to pick up on that) but last nights ref was fair to both teams, In fact he gave them quite a few good decisions but they just did not capitalise on them.

 

What did not work for Heybridge last night was their coaching staff trying to intimidate the ref. last Friday the ref was chatting with them before during and after the game. (I bet he sends them a card from his vacation)

I too didnt think the ref was too bad, cant really understand what newblue is on about. Still dont really understand what happened for the goal (what did he book the heybridge player for). Apart from that i thought he had a fairly untroubled game

I thought barring the clear sending off for denial of a goalscoring on the first goal I thought the ref was superb especially as it was V Heybridge who's tactics tend to be industrious
