Lovely day, poor pitch. An even start to the game slowly went the Bays way as Margate struggled to make headway. On 20 mins HB went ahead but Margate battled on to half time and if only they could get numbers forward they could come back. As last week Margate went 2 down 5 mins into the second half and that was it for the Gate. 10 minutes later it was 3-0, another 5 mins and another for 4-0. With minutes to go it was 5-0. Margate could only managed 2 shots at goal neither on target. Something needs to be sorted out as those players who last season showed great promise are starting to look ordinary. The youngsters are doing their best against well drilled teams, but.... Matt Bowles must be feeling it 9 past him in 2 u18 games cant be good. Strickers unable to get decent chances. Mid-field running up and down the pitch for little return. Where have the promises, made to these players last season, gone.

Some light, Cup game next Sunday away to Folkestone who the Gate beat in the league this season.
