Just to add a bit of light on the subject of Ground share etc etc......

The main reason is that if the football club is taken away from the pawn in the middle ! as we have been used over the last few years, really makes people look up and listern ?

You see Mayfair Communications have been in touch with council to see if a land swop can take place against the proposed new site for STFC against the present site.

Therefore using STFC as the bait in between.

The council have made commitments to helping STFC and will not allow Slough FC to become the pig in the middle and Mayfair communications using STFC for their gain again.

As you know STSA had tried to form a Supporters Trust, but Mayfair communications sent a solicitors letter to us warning us that they would not allow negotiate nor deal with Slough Town Supporters.

So only Martin Deaner and Mayfair can be left to deal with the council....so while this happens and STFC will be taken away from the middle of the problem, giving Mayfair no chance to use us again.....

Taking STFC from the middle , will see that Mayfair's trump card can not be played anymore using STFC as the Ace......

The present site could however present a deal for Mayfair if Slough Council and Martin Deaner can sort the deal on the proposed site next door , allowing Martin Deaner to raise funds and allowing him to make an offer to Mayfair for the present site, therefore allowing Mayfair to sell and move on, or if they purchase the freehold and hold onto the Wexham Site , hoping for a change of the govenment ruling on green belt land , and get planing permission for housing ! But this of course would go done in South Bucks like a lead ballon !! As we all know this piece of Green Belt land is the last between Slough and Stoke Poges......and we all know how had this will be to approve !!!!!!

The land was ear marked for sports and leisure and this maybe the only way forward for both parties....... This is why you have seen a re aplication for sports and lesuire faclities by Mayfair communications recently.....Are they going to spend more money on sports adventures ??? The money they did not want to spend on STFC , who at the time were on the brink of the best season ever and maybe could have gained promotion into the football league the following year , acheiving What dear Alan Thorne wanted Really....its just a big shame , that the events of 5 years ago , were allowed to happen and throw STFC down the pan, that is until Martin Deaner came along, to give us 5 more years of football and has pledge to keep going to ensure STFC future is secure and bright, for this we must keep our heads, and if we have to ground share then this must be done....

We must keep our heads and look positivly forward as best we can too..........

Cheers Chris Sliski

You have to look at the big picture, if we move the Thornes could be left with a white Elephant, as Chris said without the team he as lost his ace.

Yes but wouldn't the best scenario be Deaner negotiating a new 11 year lease with Thorne,or even better he buys the land.Yes that is looking unlikely but we can all hope and it sounds better than groundsharing for god knows how long,i dont know if Byron and his father are being delibrately awkward but that what it looks to me.Theres one thing for sure were all in for a rough ride this month,i just hope we come out of it with a club.

The way I see this is, if we groundshare, as long as it is within the 10 mile radius as stated by Martin, how different exactly will it be? We're paying for the current site, and getting very little back which would be the same if we moved away.

What we need to do is secure the current site in the name of the football club, not an individual. We now need to stand strong together for the future of the club, and help it move forward whatever way we can.

Gary I agree , and this time I really think the council are very seriuos about the survival of STFC , I think things are going to move along quite quickly now.....

Watch this space......
