WHY ?????

Recommended Posts

Mad, you can't camp in front of the main stage. The camping fields are seperate to the main arena where the bands play and they don't allow tents in there. A few tips for camping:

Whatever you do, do NOT camp near the river(s)-you will see/smell why when you leave.

Camp near but not too near the toilets-prefrebly within walking distance but not within sniffing distance. Also there's watch people near the toilets (I think this is 'cos the year before last, people were tipping the bogs over with people inside them or chucking people's tents in them)so if you get into trouble there's someone near by to help.

Make friends with your neighbours-then you can scrounge stuff off them.

Get some firewood and get a good fire going. Not only will it stop you freezing to death at night but it also creates good atmosphere!

BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER!!!

Oh yeah, the prices for food/drink are extortionate so bring your own.

Can't think of anymore. MAD, who are you going with?

Best tip - start controlling your bowel movements about a week before hand, get into the habit of going only once about 10am. Go into town about 10am for a full english and the toilet.

Don't ever go near the portaloos

Do take a big bottle which you can piss in while in your tent but do keep it separate from your bottle of vodka and red bull because these look quite similar.

On the last afternoon do chuck everything you don't need to take home at surronding tents.

Do give grief to anyone wearing a Slipknot T-Shirt.

Don't watch Slipknot

Kids these days I found last year are really annoying, they think they are wacky and so forth, they are not, remember you're EFM and are better than them, they will also end up working in the underground.

If you go want to get laid, try and do it the first night as by the 3rd most people smell (including yourself).

Have a total disregard for any Q.

Do the karioke on the first night and make sure you're the best.

Do go and watch anyone that's been around a few years that maybe you haven't heard of chances are they will be good.

Do spend at least a hour in the dance tent.

I would, but for two reasons.

1). I don't have a life, and so any social venture outside of my house would result in severe nosebleeds, headaches, uncontrollable crying and the occasional voice inside my head telling me to burn everything.

2). I've landed an interview with the underground, as a cleaner. It may not be the most well paid, well respected job in the world, but it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time.

Wish me luck!!

Ah, festival memories: Black snot, that strange smell of mouldy cider mixed with bonfires, dodgy looking blokes opening your tent in the middle of the night and saying "oh sorry I thought this was 'Johns' tent!", Carling from big paper cups that always tastes nicer than normal beer, not pulling (I don't know anyone who's ever pulled at a festival).

I'm looking forward to it already!
