I am losing patience

Now for the last few games 4-4-2 has not been working because we HAVE NO FULL BACKS, so what does Trott do, he plays 4-4-2. I think 3-5-2 would have worked today, because everyone playing in their CORRECT positions with Trott playing the sweeper role instead of the high line because he is so slow. We have a play/manager and a player/assistant manager. WHERE IS THE SENSE IN THAT? Especially when both of you are on the pitch.

The excuse that we have injuries is not good enough as we have reserve players aswell. I do feel sorry for Morris, because when he can really show if he is good enough for the first team he is played out of position

Before anyone gets on my back answer these 2 questions;

Are we underachieving?

Where do you see us at the end of next season?

You can have a go at me if you want, but i am not happy with things at the moment and this MY OPINION.

Yes you are underachieving and I saw it coming, maybe it is Trotty i thought he was going to stick to management he dosent know what he wants and how he is going to get it, If your stuggling in defence get some loan signings in for your defence not attacking players like he has done.

If your players are under performing then replace the slackers with people who want to impress and get the chance you will see more grit and determination and desire to win and if they impress they keep the shirt.

I can see you finishing below Ramsgate this season and next season just being truthfull and honest.

You have a right to be concerned about your club and not to be happy and if i was a Margate supporter i whould be as well but im a Ram so im pretty happy even though we have slipped a bit we are still 5th.

I agree, although loan signings are not the answer. However i'm not to sure if you will finish above us next season. As we should have more money pumped into the club next season through the 5-a-sides and i think a lot of Ramsgate players that were with the club in the Kent league are reaching their prime, as from next season unless you get a lot of money from somewhere i think Ramsgate could struggle.

Just to add i am still willing to give Trotty a chance, like i said i am losing patience. I haven't lost patience.......YET!

You are right.

KCA and peters are good signings, and RT has been unlucky with Yianni's injury leaving that side weak, but that occured three months ago and RT had time to sort it.

Any manager worth his salt builds from the back. You can play your granny up front, a young lad up front-if they miss or make a mistake you don't lose.

Make errors at the back and you lose.

Its just so blatantly obvious that you sort the defence first.

I am ready and awaiting the call....I shall need a new merc...2 grand a week in readies and a full hotel expense at the 5 star imperial...(suite of course)....I get lonely after matches so a couple of latvian hookers at a grand a night will be required (in cash) and a playing budget of 15 grand a week to match chelmo will be needed and I can guarantee a play off place....

my office is at clacket lane service station..table no 5..just ask for edna behind the burger counter...she's my secretary.... grin

Its not knee-jerk reaction but an accumulation of matters:

We have been going backwards on the playing front since January.

We seriously blew the once every ten years chance to get promotion last season

Whilst we would all like play-off position, i think most would accept a top half table position, but when you:

get 3 points out of 18:

are second to bottom in the form table,

questions and doubts will be expressed-that is no different to any job.

When you lose 5 defenders over the summer, and replace them with just 2 defenders and a load of forwards, you have to expect criticism if your strategy fails.

If you make no improvements to the teams discipline for which as manager you are responsible, and those discipline matters cost you results; as their manager, you have to take responsibility and accept the consequences.

I am sure everyone still wants RT to succeed-certainly i do- but if you were running a company with that record, your shareholders would have hung you out to dry long before now.

If you had managers in your own company performing in that way, would you be happy with the situation.

Hmm. As another Ram (cue the jokes about there being more than one) I'm also happy about where our side is at the moment, although I think I'd be more cross about a result like losing to Harrow in the league than an FA Cup game. Let's face it, a non-league side won't win the cup, and every game you lose in the league is another nail in the coffin in terms of going up this season.

I would also concur that Trotty might have got a few things wrong re. summer signings, but if I were a Margate fan I'd be well happy with how everything is going, as much as I am happy supporting red army. I mean, you say it yourself, you'll be generating money and talent with the five-a-side pitches, while our chairman is leaving at the end of the season. Results aren't going so well on the pitch for both Thanet sides at the moment, but both sets of fans should remain positive!

Alex you do talk tosh. It's so early to start condemning Trotty and the squad.

And wishful thinking about Rams struggling, IF we can keep players that are approaching end of contracts then we will do as well as last season at the very least. You obviously know very little about the mighty Rams and the age of the squad if you think they are reaching their prime. We only have 3 players in the squad over 26!

Trott will come good I'm sure, he has had a harder time than Wardy in terms of an unsettled squad, and losing players.
