If you want to compete in the Conference you need to be full-time and its hard to finance that on small gates. No sh*t Sherlock!

Even if you do manage it you will be up against bigger sides with bigger gates and a much bigger budget than you. Thats the case for every side but one in every league.

The Conference has changed a lot since Dover where in it....not quite such solid ground there, for Torquay and Oxford read Yeovil and Hereford, for every Carlisle there is a Farsley Celtic for every York there is a Leigh RMI.

The Conference is a tough league with some big names in it but as we have proven they aren't unbeatable, we may not be able to win every match but we are more than capable of winning any match as are most of the clubs in the league.

Would Dover like to return to the Conference? Of course. If they got there would they want promotion to the league? What do you think.
