Are you really that naive that three months of regular communication is going to make up for ten years of lies, deceipt, transfer irregularities, broken promises and the other crap that we've had to put up with for the last decade? Are you serious?

Are you honestly trying to tell me that performances this season have been anywhere near acceptable? I can't believe that there are people who follow Slough that honestly think that the team we have sent out this season is 'really good on paper' and that 'if only', 'if maybe' and 'but...' we'd be doing really well! Games are won on a pitch, not on paper and points get you up the league, not ifs and buts. And so far this season, we've been played off the park by five teams who are average if I'm in a particularly good mood. And now we've lost our best player (a recurring theme round here) so I think I can say honestly that we have had poor performances all round truthfully.

And as for the hot air and hypotheticals... well I'd love to know how a club which has routinely failed to pay its players and rent commitments in the past (on record by the way) is going to be able to afford a nice, shiny new stadium, but then again, as long as the mighty Slough Town FC say it's possible then IT MUST BE TRUE!

Some of you people need to really take your heads out from the sand, and just occasionally say on here with the same vitriol you give on the stands....

We might as well all give up and go home now then, Yes there have been problems in the past, things haven't always been right. This season there are atttempts in place to do it differently, as people on here have been asking for. But only a couple of months in and all they are facing is the old critisisms, so why bother. Lets all just roll over now and give up.

As I said, I'd like to see more details about this supposed ground proposal... oh wait, let me get my dictionary out.... proposal - noun - 1. something proposed (such as a plan or assumption). Yup sounds like spin and hypotheticals to me. Call me back when someone offers up something a bit more concrete!

And the first part of my initial criticism was that all I have seen is poor performances on the pitch... would you like me to give you some examples of those? I mean, we have two shambolic cup defeats and 8 crappy league defeats to chose from... or did they 'not happen' either?

the fleet game was a difficult one with stand in keeper (wilko) and although the performance was not brilliant it rather flattered them, hillingdon over two games was hardly shambolic in my opinion,
as far as the league is concerned i think we have lost 6 not 8 grin

And my query was around the off field activities. The ground plans are changing day by day as talks with the council continue. There is a meeting in November which is the concrete you want and I am confident we will be able to have a full update to supporters after this time.

Sorry, but this club has lied, cheated, and deceived its fans for long enough. I've got better things to spend the £600 I'd spend at games this season and future seasons than on this piss poor reflection of a football club. It's been fun, but this is the end

how would I know? All I know is that for last ten years NO-ONE has put a plan together to safeguard even the club's short term future, and as a result we're plummeting down the leagues to the point where everyone is going to walk away. But if you want to start somewhere....

1. Remove Roy, Bernard and the current coaching staff, and every single player on the squad over the age of 28 from the club. Purge every trace of the previous regime.

2. Get in some youngsters and local kids to fill the squad, all of whom live withing 15 minutes drive from Slough train station. Able to play at this level they may not, but I'd rather watch them than a team of over-paid, over-the hill, underachieving rubbish we have at the moment.

3. Get a manager who's had at least five, preferably ten years experience coaching at this level. The current lot are out of their depth, as the disorganised and unmotivated displays this season have shown. Also theirs too much comfort being shown by some players which needs to be removed.

4. Full disclosure about the possible funding of the ground, and any possible disclosure of the income coming in. I'm not the only one's who's heard rumours of fans putting their hands in their pockets for considerable sums to bail the club out.

Bring about at least two of those things, and I might be tempted back to the fold, but if not... well, that £600 I'm saving by not coming can buy plenty of things that will keep me amused on Saturday afternoons

Liam, I think you are quite right to speak your mind asnd, as this is a forum, people should be allowed to say what they feel and think. But i beg of you to answer these:

1) And replace them with whom, we arent exatly an attractive prospect

3) As above. And how remving this 'comfort'? Kick them out? Or bollock them?

4) I thought we had disclosure about the funding or am i missing something? What sums to bail the club out?

PPS: No matter what people on here think about Liam's outburst on here, if the way our season is going is leading a fan who has been with us for god knows how long and put [****!!****] knows how much into the club to refuse to go to matches, surely thats a sign that somethign should be done.

I wish i could be as optimistic as some on here but i think we are in dire straits at the moment. When i started supporting slough (aged 11-12) we had just gone into the conferance and i got to watch a decent standard at football in a 'nice-ish' ground with attendences that rarely dropped under 1,000 and usually were over 1,500, things have gone severely wrong and if we drop again i think it will be nigh on the final nail in the coffin.

Problem is Marcus, Liam is always moaning. It's especially boring when it goes on about not being able to attack the club - this forum is always doing it and i don't remember any threads ever being deleted. I have even written articles in the programme saying the club should be run by the Trust and they have been printed.

I agree we have real problems and the last few seasons supporting Slough have been hard work. But that's what supporting a club is about - through thick and thin.

Off the field i have seen lots of positive things this season, such as the move to Beaconsfield, the professional business brochure, some new blood on the Trust board, better links with youth players and some breaking through to the first team, impressive programme, and most importantly some decent concrete plans and discussions with the council about a new ground.

Deaner has gone as well, although we are now relying on supporters to fill in the gap. This is where we are really needed now as we don't have a sugar dadddy now (even if it was one who used to forget to give us pocket money now and then). It's our club and we can shape its future; by all means have a moan about stuff but it's up to everyone to get involved to change things, otherwise it is, as Liam says just 'all hot air.'

Well put BR.

It's the first time for a few years that we've had some many positive to look forwaard to.

Ok the playing side isn't great at present but if we can avoid relegation this year and get the go ahead for the new ground, I think next year we will improve immensely as a team and start going forward.

This will only happen if we stick together.
