Possible Fixture Change - Bridgwater (h)

Just waiting on FA Confirmation, but we've moved our match with Bridgwater from Tue 6th November to Sat 20th October. Makes more sense for the match to be played on a Saturday with the travelling distance involved and it should mean they are able to bring some supporters which is unlikely on a Tuesday night!

the southern league website doesnt have the fixture listed

wonder if it is a bit late to get the attendance we would want

as it wont be advertised.although yes if bridgwater bring a few it could bump it up a bit.

It's been agreed with the league they just haven't updated their website yet. I'm pretty sure the fixture will be advertised in both local papers. Plus all regular supporters would know about this by now either from seeing it on here or word of mouth. As you said Bridgwater will now bring alot more than they would have done had been on the Tuesday. They have the 3rd best average attendance in the league at 244 so I would hope they'd bring 30-40, which should keep the crowd over the 200 mark.

Also just to add isn't it worth contacting Time 106.6 FM to ask them to advertise this re-arranged fixture? I have this station on at work every day and there are times when they mention all the other local non league clubs but not Slough. Is this something someone can do? I would produce posters but it's too late now for this game, with it on the website, papers (hopefully...), word of mouth and maybe the radio i think we have it covered.

A shame it isn't the other way round and us going to them on Saturday as I'll be in Devon and not a million miles from Bridgwater over the weekend.

heard it mentioned about 12.30 the presenter did a good job and mentioned that stfc groundshare with beaconsfield at holloways park

The radio stations usually are very good with reading stuff out on-air - certainly from past experiences of Time FM and Radio Berks. When we did previews for games here and there last season, Time used to pretty much read out what was sent to them regarding team news etc. It's free information for them and work they don't have to do.
