As i posted elsewhere,MR's post Carlshalton interview was not far short of the dreaded vote of confidence !!

I will say that i want RT to succeed and wish him to stay and become a great manager.

At what i imagine the club can afford, there is no gaurantee a change would bring improved results, and RT still has time this season to build a good side

I still believe he is only one quality defender short of having a really good side;but that position at the spine of the team is so vital;and why he can't recognise it,and as a defender himself, seems unable to coach, assemble and organise a defence is beyond me and of concern.

Its the same now as it was at start of season-one central defender short. That person would have almost certainly ensured we had 6 more points-then we would be looking ok,and crowds would not be deserting. To me it has always been very very obvious.

A bit like last year when it was obvious from October that we needed a striker, and we finally got Howarth in march. It will probably be the same this year-we will get a decent defender in February. As it is, of course, anyone decent was signed in the summer whilst RT went mad signing strikers left ,right and centre.

but there will probably be a few wins and draws in amongst those defeats thats football all clubs from bottom to top can be crap , they can`t be fu..ing good forever how boaring would that be .

Chelsea lose there boss because they are only in 6th place , Liverpool are being critasized for there rotation systerm , but we all know they will turn it on some where through the season . Im not sticking up for anyone and i am not going to take sides but when you ain`t got no money to buy players you only get what you can . Obviously losing Danny was a bigger problem than we thought so Inexperienced Trotty has gone and brought as many strikers as poss hoping to get a match that will hopefully work out for him but it ain`t . So no money left for anyone else to come in and we need Center backs good ones with experience but they will cost as much as a front man if you want the best . So he`s stuck what does he do he uses himself knowing Piper don`t want him on the pitch he has to move Jay to the back to help and he has then got Young , Smith , Harte with little expierience to use and lastly Skinns who is spot on but always on a ban . Macca is on the bench most of the time weather it be injury or ban not Trotty`s fault .

I could go on but moral of the story is folks we have half a team that are always in trouble on the pitch resulting in suspensions thats the players fault the rest are rookies and fringe players who alot of people on here want to see playing and this is what you end up with a mess which alot of people would find hard to sort out . Up the Gate.

We have not been relegated yet. Anyone remember the last 5 matches of the season before last? Or going down the season before? Where did we end up last time - better placed?

Short memories.

Look at where we have spent most of the recent past. Isthmian or Southern premier level. Conference could be seen as a blip. A nice one, but not our norm. Promotion again would be good, but first let's have the infrastructure and income to support it or we will crash right down again.

Having a bit of support for the team would not go amiss either. We are going to lose games, we are going to win them, and we are going to draw them. That is becasue we are a reasonable team in the Isthmian. We are not world beaters and neither are we complete rubbish, it just so happens that if we win folks say the former, and if we lose folks say the latter and if we draw we get a bit of a rest from the rabid mob.

Anyway once Deano is back from injury you will see how we will rise like a phoenix out of the ashes of our current disappointment!

Not good that we have to rely on one player is it? I for one can't wait for Deano to come back from injury as he gives us 100%week in week out. Also June where were we at November/December of last season? We should have won the league last season and we let it slip out of our fingers and we could not even finish in a play-off place, which is really poor when you consider the team we had last season.

O.K. I know not many people respect my posts and I don't care but I am entitled to my say. I respect Junes posts and admire your blind faith in everything blue but settling for mediocrity is not generally in a football fans nature. We go to be entertained, for pleasure and success. For the buzz of seeing the team perform and do well. The Conference was not a blip-it was what it's all about. Yes I remember the last five games of the season before but I'm living in the now and we seem worse than we were then. I don't go to Hartsdown to feel that we've got a good infrastructure I go purely for the football and if they do well I give them almost worship status-if they play like they couldn't care less I vent my spleen. People don't bite their tongues when the ref is appalling-they shout at him-not say well he's doing his best he deserves our support.
Finally, if folk don't like a forum that is two sided (as it should be) and would like me to go away I will but would they also like me to stop spending my £20-£30 and adding to the numbers down at Hartsdown.

It wasn't that they lost on Tuesday, it was the manner in which they lost it when we all know they can do an awful lot better!

Inexperienced players playing out of position I'll accept, but experienced players who couldn't string two passes together, couldn't hit a barn wall from the inside when trying to score, and giving the ball away with reckless abandon, just hoof it up the middle over and over again to nobody on our side isn't acceptable in my book. If as has been suggested (tongue in cheek) that it was a ploy to fool the Hitchin scouts in the crowd that we weren't a very good, it worked, because they bloody well fooled me. devil

totally with you WB you are only as good as your last performance, people pay their money to be entertained not go home feeling depressed.if we lose on saturday the gates will drop to the 350/400 level and then it gets hard to get them back players get despondant and relegation looms, sat ie a BIG GAME IN MORE RESPECTS THAN ONE.

Please people, stop going on about the last five games of the season before last. No-one will EVER know what would have happened in those games had CK still have been here.

I could'nt care less if we play rubbish and win.

I just want a winning mentality and team .

Lets win first ,and then when we've got the winning habit, start thinking about entertaining, but just win.

Be ugly, play ugly,be unreasonable, be brutal,be hated, bully other teams, but just get winning

Is Trotts job at stake if we lose today.

No imo,and it is a tough game, that we may well lose.

Is Trotts job at stake if we lose Tuesday against Leyton.7 league games winless.

Yes imo. Just 3 points in what would be 21 is a worse record than CK had before he was dismissed

If we lose to Leyton, i would think the Board will rightly be doing alot of soul searching.

Injuries/suspensions-no worse than anyone else-look at ramsgate for example.

Funds-i bet we still have more funding than most of the teams in the division.
