WHO IS TO BLAME FOR LAST NIGHT!

Smith can't play left back and he should have been moved last night when it was obvious what was happening. He can play right back at a pinch.

Morris was equally outgunned at right back. At least if we had put Smith there we would have had one side covered. Ok the left would still have been a problem without Skinner or Standen.

I think we were lulled by the opponents' home goal famine into thinking we could start with a weakened back line.

What about these loan guys? Can't they tackle defensively, or do we have to play them in their 'natural' positions as part of the loan deal?

Anyway, last night's problem was mainly at the back, although as Wellsie states, passing was poor, even from Saunders.

Players who came out with credit I thought were Saunders (except as stated above), Haworth, Side, and to some extent Pinnock. CKA looked good in flashes.

Trott and Young weren't too bad in my opinion, just that they were up against it for long periods and got squeezed into the middle by our lack of resistance on the flanks.

Have to say I think you're overreacting slightly. I mean, may be it is because you've done so well a few years ago that you expect those standards to be maintained. Some posts have been saying stuff along the lines of, we've had so much bad luck, but to be honest, look at it this way, you're still in the FA Cup when you shouldn't be (can't get over the Fisher result)!

I still reckon you'll be play-offs this season, despite the result last night. Even the Chuckle Brothers couldn't save you against Carshalton!

May be you need someone independent to come in and do a review of what's going on, it could be called 'The Ward Report' L.ol.
