Pretty disappointing, though I have no idea how the team played. Putting the prize money to one side, it would have been nice not to be knocked out of all the cups at the first hurdle. All we have left to look forward to now is avoiding relegation out of a pretty awful league!

It was a solid performance. First half we played neat passing football on the ground working several good opportunities notably two headers for Charles and Davies had several decent efforts on goal. One nil at half time was the least we deserved. Hillingdon caught us cold at the start of the second half for the equaliser. The remainder of the game was pretty scrappy with both sides squandering good shooting opportunties - Hillingdon's shooting at times was pretty wayward and I was starting to think they would never score and penalties was inevitable. Unfortunately I distracted myself talking about Platt's winning goal in the last minute of extra time for England against Belgium in the second round of the 1990 World Cup and missed Hillingdon's winning goal in the last minute of extra time in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round. Very harsh on the lads who looked gutted at the end.

Gutted. Another good cup tie with some great football from Slough in the first half. Woodruff is a revelation at the moment and once again youngsters doing well going down the flanks.

Financially also a bloody disaster.

The first twenty minutes I was convinced I was watching a different team as the passing and movement was simply superb, but we never made that dominance tell on the scoresheet and paid for it in the end.

Very good cup match, and a well taken goal by Terry. Agree with BR about the kids. They stepped up to the mark again.

 

Quite a good rebel turn out as well, considering the day's weather.

 

Let's hope we can play like that on Tuesday against Farnborough.

For all your stattos out there, the official attendance was 139 not 100 as published on Southern Football League website. I'd guess there were 80-90 from Slough.

I think 100 is just the generic number they put in when they don't have the actual information from the game yet.
