What an awful game and what an awful ref. Before anyone says, oh hes just saying because Margate didn't win he poor to both sides, never let the game run, the slightest bit of contact he would blow up for a free-kick and he ruined the game.

 

The highlights of the match were our orange socks and their keeper, who made the game seem a lot more fun for us and probably himself.

Nope, the ref wouldn't allow both teams wear white socks. I have never seen blue and orange go so well in my life.

Yup thats right, for some odd reason Ashford were using white socks but according to the ryman hand book they should've been using the orange but the ref wasn't having it and made us use Ashfords orange.

We are wearing white socks and the black and white shorts this season - it's the new home kit.

 

Sorry about the fumes occasionally wafting in from the fuel tanks. You seem to be unlucky with the prevailing wind - it is usually from the west which means the air is as clear as a bell. I know this because if the wind is from the tank end I can't put my flag on the fence as it acts like a sail and wouldn't last five minutes. This is the first time I haven't been able to hang it this season.

Reminds me of the cockup at Newport County a few years back. We had too play in Newport's away kit.Last minute goal not given for no good reason. Still won the league though.
