The Aylesbury keeper indeed did not have a save to make & the goal was our only shot on target.

What on earth is going on? Im sorry but that really is enough, JC needs to go, a breath of fresh air with fresh playing staff & ideas is a must before its too late.

One win at home all season & that was a struggle against Ilford, is just wrong.

Paul Campbell didnt look 100% and was very lacklustre, Dave Bastian had his thigh strapped up from the start & didnt look fully fit and they were our wing backs expected to mauraud up & down the flanks!!!!!!
Nay & Georgiou on the bench both looking fit, why did we not play Nay behind Campbell & Bastian behind Georgiou?

Magona absoloutly awful, Kevin Stephens all over the shop as always when in a three, Dickie is a defensive centre back at best & looked clueless at times as to where he should be.

Rudi not in the game at all & in my eyes hasnt been the same since he came back to us from Worthing, ok takes a good pen but what else? and is one of those players that wont ever get dropped or subbed.
Stevie V had an absoloute shocker, his touch, passing & control was just not there at all.
The forward line is lightweight, we have known & seen this for a very long time, Crace, another of a trio still not looking fit needs a "proper" strike partner.

On the bench remains Foster? a known striker, whom has only been seen playing left midfield, why? because Hammatt is another player who is immune to being dropped or subbed.

Why bring these guys in then not use them?

Seriously its embarrasing & becoming a joke.

Serious question, why do you bother coming to any games then if you feel like that?

I know the supporters do care alot at etfc and as a player you should feel the same. I know i did and still do.

Iam sure the players do care steph but it things are just not going right.

All i would say is continue to get behind the team at the next game and so on.

I think there could be two factions emerging between the fans. Those who are desperate for success and continued and sustained improvement, and those who think of the club as more of a community social gathering where results and team perfromances are not the be-all-and-end-all,and who quite enjoy the status quo of a small well run midtable/mid league club. Some clubs are made up almost exculsively of the second sort of fan (look north up the A10).At Town,i would say its more of a 50/50 split.Unfortunatley for those that are in the first group,The those that do types in group 2 are by nature the ones running the club. The thing is,the club could not operate without BOTH types of supporter. So whilst the first group will legitimately moan about lacklustre performances ,and about the club not heading in the direction we demand it to go.So the second group will legitimately moan about the first group not helping out more with running the club.Whats the sollution?? Who knows.Maybe the first group helping out more, and the second group focusing more on whats happening on the pitch, and less on enjoying the status quo.??

I certainly agreed to the formation of ETFC on the understanding that we would be able in the long-term to progress to where we were with EFC when we left.I certainly didn't make the biggest decision of my footballing life,to spend the forseeable future supporting a club that constantly groundshares and who treads water doing nothing in the middle reaches of non-league football decade after decade (ala Wealdstone). In order not to be that sort of club,we need to refocus on what this club is really about and why it was formed.

Serious answer SL, because ETFC is the club I support.

My father watched EFC from not long after the war, I attended my first game at Southbury Road in the 68/69 season my son has been going since he was four years old the 90/91 season, all three of my children were Kid E's the youngest still holds the record of being the youngest ever recorded member.

I support the club week in week out giving encouragement & support for 90 minutes, standing with my mates engaging in banter & enjoying good craic that I wouldnt miss for the world.

I never, and I repeat NEVER, scream or shout anything negative at the players, however what I do on here & to anyone I chat to at the game is to be honest, Im merely saying what I see & after that performance on Saturday I merely expressed what I saw.

As many other supporters they too have had their say & I dont think they differ a great deal to my views, we are not all going to agree but that is what this forum is all about is it not?

There are some wet posters on here that come out with the "chin up lads, well done" claptrap & look to blame everything & anything (even a coach company!) rather than face the truth!

As Father Jack posted else where on the forum, it will take a lot more than that dross dished up on the pitch Saturday to stop me making the Aveley game this Saturday & the Saturday after &......

Not all will agree with me but hey ho thats life, but I dare anyone to say my original assesment of the game was not that far from fact!

Good post Gazza

But I do not agree with you about getting rid of Jim NOW. last season he stated that playoffs were his aim and he achieved it. This season he appears to have set his sites higher and we will see. He has already achieved more than las season in the cup competitions.
