I have a good story from the days of ure re Gravesend. I was in the Boro quiz team that went to the unbeaten Gravesened in the late 70's. We were a man short due to someone's car packing up. This resulted in our two supporters having to follow us by 370 bus then Ferry (this was for a 7.30pm start midweek).

 

Anyway the Fleet guys were right up themselves (they drank one half a shandy with six straws all night and wore club ties). Those of us not driving were on on our third pint before the game started. (come to think of it... this was the the 70's, I believe our driver ..the late Steve Pye.. was knockin em back as well).

 

Our barmy army of 2 survived their boat trip and gave us their support (again frowned upon by the Fleet Colonels). Anyway... would you believe it we only went and beat them....... they did not like it up em at all.
