"Asylum seekers are more settled than we are" - Martyn Deaner

Although I find it hard not to agree with Mr Deaner, I'm not convinced that saying this on record to the local press is a good way of sustaining the fragile support of the council.

The future certainly does not look orange

Its related to the ground situation, but they're all fit together. If we can't get the right lease we'd have to ground share, if thay doesn't work we'll be out of the Ryman League and then lose players and management.

What a glorious little scenario

Why wasn't a ground share sorted out months ago? Surely it would have been better to have something in place in the eventuality, or reality as it's turning out, that we couldn't renew Wexham Park.

The simple laws of supply and demand now mean we'll end up paying over the odds in rent for any ground share due to the urgency which needn't have happened had a contingency plan been put in place a few months ago.

Surely that's just common sense although as the saying goes, the problem with common sense is it's not that common.

I am afried that this is the Thorns rearing their ugly face again, they do not care about the football team so they demand that Mr Deaner signs a new lease for the ground on there terms. This will be no good for Deaner or the supporters it means the bar and every other revenue raising facilities stay with then.I think we should consider ground sharing as a way of puting pressure on the Thorns.

Am I right in saying that if Slough aren't playing at Wexham Park and it's just left to rot then Thorne isn't getting any cash for the site?

Does he hate Slough that much that he'll forego the potential revenue or is most of it generated via the function rooms etc?

Yes true about mayfair communications....

they may well be left with a white elephant, this is why STFC have had to be taken from the problem, we are being used as pawns in the middle and Martin Deaner has seen this and he has promised to stand by us ... for a few season yet to sort this problem out....with the help of the council...who I think this time are on the right road with us ! please please be patient...... if we can not secure this this time , it other ideas will be needed.....but in the mean time , if its ground share for a while well so be it......

But its now down to the supporters to commit our support for our club both on and off the pitch....

come on rebels..... !!! and our great supporters ....

together we can get ourselves sorted out for once and for all.....keep our heads......

up the rebels....

Chris
