You're missing the point sonny! By promoting them they are promoting us & thats why I liased with the manager in the first place.To get publicity for the club.But you would prefer to make something else out of it rather than go out there doing something similar for your own club.

You should be thanking me anyway as I have managed to get your club mentioned alongside of ours each week too.Yes both Thanet clubs not just the one! Promoting "THANET FOOTBALL".

Rather than maintain this personal thing you seem to have with me you should be less ignorant,understand the reasons behind it all & maybe try something similar over your end.

yep well done Cookie , and from what the local is saying Ian is you aint got to many 1st team players left yourself so they must all be doing there talking in the same ward at QEQM .

I would just like to add that Bookmakers will not accept "posters". They certainly wouldn't accept "fixture cards".

BUT having got Ladbrokes local on side they are now not only advertising the games in the shop(forget the odds,they are just a tool to the advertising of our games)they are also handing out fixture cards to punters.They actually had them on the counter(another first).I gave about 150 to Kevin(the manager)& they have all been snapped up.If you can imagine how many go through that shop each day,each week,you can see how many people will now know about our games & when they are! Certainly saves on posters thats for sure.

It hasn't seen that elusive 1000 turn up yet but in time, maybe it will.

I would like to thank Kevin(manager)& his assistants with getting their head office to approve all this.

Of course they want people to bet on these games(& many have so I've been told)but its not compulsary.You can still walk in & look at the fixture without having a bet of any kind.

Finally,Kevin is also still waiting for a signed football shirt from the club as he is doing a raffle or something to that effect.

Thanks Alan but its no different to what you & others of this Clubs fan base do to try & help get bodies in through the gate!

Maybe instead of those reds coming on here to get their kicks(excuse the pun)they should put their efforts into something similar over there. Maybe then their gates would rise too(well,a bit at least).
