Well if he got in for nothing he was lucky, Safety Officer had to pay £8.00 & £1.50 for a programme. He was told by someone that their normal entry is only £5.00 confused2

I think both sides must be very glad the referee decided to join in the brawl, rather than take notice of what was going on. There were 3 potential straight reds for Town (in addition to JD's second yellow) from where I was watching, and an equal number for Hillingdon. By that point the ref had totally lost confidence in the nearside official, whose inability to notice whether the ball was in or out of play led to the drop ball and hence the minor riot. As a result, he had no way of knowing what had gone on.

awful game, awful performance, and all prices bumped up because they were playing us. their keeper was the worst I have ever seen at any level, we should be embarrasses not sticking a hatful past him. the fighting is over the top, and I am very worried about this season all round.

I'm just glad I was delayed in the traffic getting home so couldn't attend. This was a team that we should have beaten on Saturday. Ill-discipline has been one of our downfalls both on the pitch and bench in the past and the board must curb this by issuing inwstructions to Jim.

I agree with Paul I am very worried about this season. A number of regulars aren't so regular any more. I cannot be bothered to attend and FA Tropy game on Sat and will watch the rugby instead. I will use the season ticket for league games but that will be about it until things improve on the pitch.

I agree, although the lad last night isn't a bad No.2 keeper to have in your squad. Ok, he was at fault for the second goal (may have been impeded by the oppo??), but he is not as bad as some are making out. Hate to say it but Edmonds doesn't quite cut the mustard for me.

Be very careful before dismissing a team who have just beaten us as a 'park team'. Hillingdon may have not been the greatest side ever, but they got their noses in front, then scrapped like mad to hold onto that lead, in the meantime having more shots at goal than the Town. In fact, that 'park side' passed the ball better, were better organised, and made far better use of their resources than we did.

And as for their keeper being the worst ever - how do we know? True, he flapped at every cross and collapsed like an MFI coffee table every time he was challenged, but he didn't have a meaningful shot to save in 90 minutes. Our only two decent efforts were Paul Campbell's goal and Rudi's speculative header that was nodded off the line.

I could go on and on about our shortcomings, but I'm just too annoyed to write coherently. mad mad mad

By the way, were Hillingdon Borough as a whole not the biggest bunch of moaners and whingers we have ever played against? That is apart from having a pathetic excuse for a ground, and mugging us of our hard earned cash. They couldn't even supply hot chocolate - I was most upset!!

Everytime 2 players jumped for the ball or went into a 50-50 together they would be up off the bench, or the players would be in the ref's earhole looking for a free-kick or a card to be shown. It was like something out of Chelsea's book.

Was very frustrating and contributed to it being a scrappy and heated affair. I wish them nothing but endless defeats and relegation. Stephens was immense in the last 20 minutes at the back and won everything against their big forward (who I thought was not a bad player), but it shouldn't take a fight to get him up for it.

I can totally understand how you are feeling Father Jack - frustration is the word of the day!!

You say it totally how it is. It's just that we know that this Town team should be good enough to beat outfits like this, and this is where the frustration comes in. Something simply isn't right at the moment, and it is hard to put your finger on it. Selection? Formation? Player Confidence? Team Morale?

They had a few chances in the second half granted, as a result of us chasing the game, but you could still tell who the better side was over the course of the 2 games. We should never have been making that journey last night, tut tut.

Oh well................

I think it's clutching at straws to blame the coach driver/traffic for the performance/result. For example a Conference team had a much longer journey on Saturday, the coach broke down, kick off was delayed until 3.30 allowing no preparation time but a score drawe was still achieved.

Conversely our result, the lack of discipline and the poor performance (as reported) came as no suprise. Truthfully, did anyone really expect anything different?

My spies inform me that something has to change. I am confident that it won't though.

Was it the fault of the Coach Company last Saturday?.
