So if Summers is a left back, and according to Wellsie's write up of the match,,played well last nightwhen Skinner gets his first 3 game suspension of the season, will Summers` get the left back slot; (Dean is injured of course )or will Smith play there ???

According to the Reserves squad details Robbie is a midfielder, bugt I thought he did do well at left back. However, lets keep the game - Isthmian League Cup - as context.

Robbie Summers is a left back - he's been around on the Kent League / local Sunday League scene for years as well as playing for us in the mid 90's. I'd be surprised to see him replacing Justin - he's never played at Ryman Premier standard. Son of Ray Summers in case anybody's not aware.

Point is that somebody has got to replace Skinns.

Dean is injured.

JJ would be 'wasted at left back.

Smith-possibly, but chances are he will be needed in centre defence.

Not many options as far as i can see.

(and all thats before another defender gets injured or suspended)

Sounds as though Summers has similar tenacity of his father.

makes me feel old when you remeber Ray Summers

The reason Robbie is showing midfield on the Reserves page is due to the fact he played his first two games for them there, so I hadn't realised he was a left back. My apologies for the error.

this is what i think the team will be for Saturday

SCS

Harte--Saunders--Young--Smith

Peters--KCA--Pinnock--Jackson

Haworth--Side

Although Pinnock isn't a CM he has played once or twice before i do believe and he done well, he certainly has the work rate to play there although he hasn't really shown it as much this season (apart from last 20 against Fisher).

Afraid so. Suspension starts on Saturday so he'll miss Ashford, Carshalton and Hitchin.

I reckon team for sat will be:

SCS

harte, young trott smith

Pinnock, KCA Saunders JJ

Haworth Side

subs: bowles,watson,morris,axon,peters.

I suspect Peters and KCA could link up well, but suspect RT will want to start with Pinns on the right.

I assume Macca still unfit

So if as suggested harte is injured for tomorrow, how will we line up now.

SCS

Smith Trott Young JJ

Peters Saunders KCA

Pinnock

Side Haworth

or maybe change formation and go 3-5-2.

SCS

Smith trott Young

PInnock KCA Saunders Morris JJ

Haworth Side

That could work

8-1-1 or 10-0-0 gets my vote all day long.

Nil -nil for 93 minutes then a clearance from SCS gets us a goal.

Ni -nil games keeps you engrossed for the whole game; then the ecstacy of a last minute winner.

Don't tell me you would not get excited by that.

Problem is we have not got enough defenders to play 4 at the back, let alone 8.

Do you think the sea air got to Trott and Jim Ward over the summer.

Both managers signed forwards, and both clubs are now short of defenders.I think Ward's got about 6 centre forwards these days.

Think its called 'Thanet Managers syndrome' !!
