not sure how many we have at the mo, but I am sure it is not up to its full quota

well the last couple of years there has been no vote, so it is fair to assume if ANYONE applies they will get on, some intresting forms being signed on Saturday !!

There are four board members standing down and seeking re-election. There will then be four available spaces to be filled, probably by the same four.

 

Anyone standing for election to the board will be chasing one of those spaces. There are no empty board seats apart from those four which will be contested by the current four members.

If there are supposed to be 15 (is this the case?) elementary maths suggests that there are 3 vacancies before the forthcoming election.

It's good to see both names of the co-opted directors in the programme today.

I understand some of the fans will not be able to make a town game in future as they are off to see the "Zombies" during a mideweek night! They wished it to be recorded that the innuendo circulating that the "Zombies" are something to do with the Enfield Town Board is untrue!

In yesterday's programme we were informed that there are at least two people other than current board members wishing to stand for places on the board so there will be a ballot.

 

In effect, 6 people chasing 4 places now that the board has trimmed itself down from 15 elected members to 11 with 2 further people being co-opted. It could even go down further to 8 elected members with 4 co-opted members in the future should the board wish to make that decision.

 

It could well be that the two people who do not receive enough votes at the election could in fact be co-opted onto the board after the AGM as a gesture of goodwill. Now wouldn't that be a good idea?

 

Here's looking forward to receiving the six candidates' submissions and a healthy competition.

How can the board trim itself down from 15 to 11 elected members? Surely that decision can only be made by a society vote.
