Pity we have to travel again, and some distance. Could have done with a local match to boost the attendance. We cant have made much from the competition so far, apart from the prize money. If Hitchin get through they have an average home gate of about 250.

Agree MM but the prize money is not particularly high at the moment. £3750 is only equivalent to 416 extra supporters on the gate. The total amount of supporters in two games so far is 537 which after expenses have been given to MFC our share will probably be about £1500. If we had been drawn at home, taking an average home attendance of 600, it works out, before expenses, at about £10500, give or take a couple of hundred for juniors. I know it would have been divided between all 3 teams but add that to the £3750 makes a big difference.

With the state of our finances...every penny counts!!!

Either team will do me, although Hitchin is nearer for me!!! (How selfish!!)

Interesting one, Haverhill have a bit of a reputation for giant killing, Hitchin are in an equivalent league to us, but placed lower.

Both could be potential banana skins, given our recent cup form. But after Saturday you would have to have a bit of belief after that marvellous comeback, and the fighting spirit displayed.

Bring it on!
