Fa Cup oppo,

The game should not be played on Friday night in fact I feel it may even reduce the att further then having it at 3 on the Saturday clashing with the England game

Personally I think this is Heybridge looking for soemthing to try and level the playing field (and fair play to them for trying)

IM (humble) O, it's not a question as to whether Heybridge will be a better side on Friday, it's a question as to whether we'll be as good.

"Ceteris paribus" I believe we'll win the game, no BBB, that's just my view. Why on earth do anything that might change that?

Imho Billericay are better side than Heybridge as shown by the league table Billericay with more skilful players than Heybridge but playing it on Friday when players are likely to be tired from the working week will help bridge the gap in technical ability and give Heybridge a better chance of winning

"Carpe Noctem" wink

I'm not so sure that a Friday evening KO will be that great a leveler.

Nor am I sure that Swifts are as poor as their league position suggests anyway! I believe they've brought in a new player or two since our visit?

To be honest, each team will have just as much chance of going through, whether it be a Friday or a Saturday KO...

But may I point out that, whenever England KO on a Saturday, our results have been poo and I don't think we're that great whenever we've played on a Friday, either.

"Ad absurdum" I know but stats are "Omnia mihi lingua graeca sunt"

Other things being equal....TC

We don't know whether playing on a Friday, out of routine and at the end of a working week, will affect our players. It may do, it may not do. It might affect Heybridge more than us, it might not. That's the point, we just don't know.

Why take a chance on the "don't knows" when what we (I?) believe is that if we both rock up on Saturday as per normal we'll be better than them.

I am also alarmed that c'mon Ricay appears to agree with me.

Anyway gotta run. Got a game to go to.
