They are set to be booted out of the FA Vase after deliberately playing two players under false identities.the ESL club may face loosing their place in next year's competition as well as a fine if the FA enforces the maximum penalty.The robins played greg hughes under the name of david hutchinson.also keeper micky burrell used the identity of andrew clarke in their 2-1 win over sun postal last saturday.hughes was suspended at the time while the real clarke was injured.sawbo secretary lesley atkins said:we deeply regret our actions and the decision to play the pair was due to inexperience at committee and management level.

Thing is Andrew Clarke plays with me in a Saturday morning team, the day in question we were down the pub until 3pm so there is no way he could have played, plus he is injured so can't play in goal at the moment. I just hope he doesn't get a ban now for something that's not his fault.

Absolutley no sympathy on this one. From the rpeort it sounds like a deliberate and stupid act that has no place in the ESL or any other league for that matter.

Don't like putting the boot in Tiptree fashion but has anyone checked their team sheet against us in the league cup the other day!

Since When has blatant cheating been down to inexperience at committee and management level.

If this was so. How many times have they done this in the league already this season.

Anyway playing a player who is eligible anyway under a different name smacks of downright stupidity.

They should never be trusted again.

im sure if they were top of the league or from brentwood the league/fa would just gloss over it grin
