No killer instinct. No confidence in our own ability. We always tense up instead of having a winning mentality. If we can't beat the likes of Hillingdon at Home,i can't see more than mid table for us this season.Which is wholly unexecptable. These sort of performances are happening far too regulary.

Saying that, we still should have more than enough to win the replay, but its criminal that we are not straight through to the third round.

my god, i agree with you!

were the substitutes about players getting their appearance money? we have suffered from this before

for god's sake JIM sort it.

we know you read this forum,

get rid of those
* who dont want to play
* who are only here cos they get paid
* who cause trouble in the dressing room
* who are over rated and consistently under perform

The performances this season are not acceptable, people want to watch attractive football, so far it has been crap.

p.s. give us a team who can win at least some games at home

I don't get why Hasler wasn't played. There is a keeper who has come in and ably filled the boots of two Town favs and has done very well indeed. So what does Jim do? He drops him just to give another keeper a chance. We should be playing our best and inform players.

I also don't agree that we were miles better than Hillingdon. It looked to me like two fairly even sides (OK we were a bit better). However, we were playing a team that are in the bottom half of another step 4 league away from home!

I stuck my head round the door in the second half and I thought Hillingdon were as good as you . They made a game of it and I say they fully deserved their replay . You made a Clanger on Heywood ,Stick with Hasler who is much the better of the two ,I would say Dave Allen is past his best he was very out of sorts when he came on . Your achilles heel is that jim sticks with his favorites even if they are out of form and this seemed to be the case on saturday.

That's ok as long Mr Safety Officer has enough Stewards, on Saturday I think we only had 2. We really need more Stewards so any offers chaps? You get to wear the most fetching yellow bib & get a free cuppa as well.

I think most people know that they can get in for free for the second half anyway. That's how it used to be at Southbury Road I believe.

At Southport, a long time ago, (in their league days !) you used be able to get in for half price at half time.

At Sutton when I last went you had to show your ticket to come back in, it wasn't a problem.

I know we are short of stewards and taking money would be a problem but

I will gladly put on a jacket and check tickets

maybe the club Treasurer could take up the responsibility for taking cash.

I know that we need to keep the turnstiles open a bit longer, but like I said we need someone who is willing to man it and that aint easy. It seems to be the same people that do stuff, that's why I say we need more help, some come on all you whingers, put up or shut up

You obviously have impaired vision.

We were by far the better team throughout the game, until needless formation and line-up tinkering in the latter stages cost us. Saying that, the players also need to take some of the blame for letting the foot off the pedal.

Lack of width at present I feel, and shortage of players supporting the front two. I happen to think that they play very well together considering all we seem to like doing for large spells of games is playing the long ball, in order for them to create something themselves or win headers against large centre-halfs, of the likes of Edgwares. We need to get it down on the deck and play the football that we know we can play - and we do in spells.

I think that is why this game was so frustrating for us fans - we were coasting and should already be in the next round. Still, gives us something to do tonight.

The point is that people coming through the gate demonstrates an interest in the club.

Whilst they are at the club they are in a market place and eventually may start to become paying customers.

Often when I was busy I used to wait until half time to come into a game.

The club is our shop window and we should not turn potential customers away.

Now answer the second question FJ. When do you open the gate to allow people to leave?

Ideally the gate should alway be manned in order to let peeople out if they so wish, and to collect money from those who arrive late to the game.I believe a ticket checking system, and a £2 entrance fee for half-time or after, would work well.

Of course ,its easier said than done, and the scheme would involve the gate 'helper' not be able to watch any of the actual match.Maybe the 15 Board members could agree to man the gate for 2 games each a season. grin
