BTFC v MAIDSTONE UTD------ Final Score

Recommended Posts

A good performance today after a rocky few games . The score could have been much greater particularly if Leon had worn his shooting boots.

Joe Flack seems to be developing into a really high quality striker, hope we can hang on to him as I reckon a few scouts will be watching. Averaging over a goal a game this season but his career strike figures with us very good.

Enjoyed watching Lee Hodges in a free role and a word for Wayne who battled on well with what seemed like an early injury.

Fingers crossed for a nice draw in the next round

Much better than last week. Billy missing with a back injury so Jack got his 2nd start for us, quiet first half but made some good interceptions and a couple of saves after the break. Up front Flackie looked dangerous throughout, their keeper made an excellent save to deny him in the first half or it would have been a 2nd cup hat-trick. Thought Semanshia did quite well on the right, plenty of energy to get up and down the pitch well. Also good to see Boot get 10 minutes.

An excellent result for us, through to the next round, a few quid in the bank and a clean sheet to boot.

I was a bit worried when McMahon cried off, but young Jack did what was required very ably and a first clean sheet for him. Well done Jack!

I thought we pretty much dominated the game bar a 10 minute spell at the start of the second half and were probably value for a greater winning margin.

I thought Wayne did pretty well down the right as well, especially as we thought that was an area that Maidstone might be strong in and of course Flackie is on fire at the moment.

All in all, yesterday's game was just what the doctor ordered and hopefully we can get a home draw in the next round.

Come on you blues!!

Far better performance, & well done to Jack & Wayne who both looked very comfortable.

As mentioned, we were probably good value for another goal or two.

It will be interesting to see what sort of team Matt fields in the league cup Tuesday; the temptation being to treat it as a low priority. Personally, I think we're still re-building confidance & would put out a strong team.

A much better performance, still nervey at times but the clean sheet will settle those.

Wayne was good...of all the players that could've played, I certainly would've of picked him (no disrespect to him) but he has quietly gone about his business, improving his game and was a revelation.

Another brace from Flackie and a solid performace from all the lads is just what the doctor ordered.

Wekll done to the team.

A much better performance and we kept a clean sheet which I think was important after the last few weeks. No problems with Buckfield between the sticks, who is going to be, if he isn't already, a quality keeper. Semanshia done OK and played it safe. I thought both Hunter and Dormer were superb and at the heart of most things. Good to see Booty get a run out as well. I'll take Brentwood at home please!

I think i can speak for everyone at the club when i say that "Maidstone UTD" were one of the most vocal we have seen at NL for some time. (besides ourselves obviously)

A nice bunch of fans and left the ground in one peice.

As the Gaz says your a credit to your club.
