York City have been informed by The Football Conference that the end of the season has been brought forward in order to accomodate the end of season play-off dates. City will now play their final game of the season on Saturday 26th April when they travel to Salisbury. The home fixture against Farsley has been moved by The Conference to Tuesday 22nd April.

 

The changes will apply to all clubs in Blue Square Premier, Blue Square North & South divisions and it is hoped to announce the dates for the play-offs and end of season finals shortly. So that means our match with Oxford will be brought forward to Tuesday th 22nd and our last match of the season will be Forest Green Rovers away.

Bet the club are not best pleased...last game home to Oxford on a Saturday...now brought forward to a Tuesday night ...equals less punters.....sue the f*ckers for loss of earnings !!

Hirsty, you've misunderstood...

The away Forest Green game has been moved to the Tuesday before hand, allowing the home Oxford game to be played on the Saturday the 26th, the original date for the FGR game.

So hopefully one attendee gained, rather than any lost

It was me that got it wrong but the story wasn't exactly clear.

 

So now our visit to Forest Green was originally going to be played on Saturday the 26th or April but will be played on Tuesday the 22nd and our match with Oxford was originally going to be played on Saturday the 03 of May will now be played on Saturday the 26th of April.
