Would anybody else give up any chance of promotion for a guaranteed first ever appearance in the 2nd round proper of the FA Cup against a BIG team? I think I might.

It would have to be Third Round, when the Prem & Champ enter, for me to sell my soul.

 

Fantastic for any club from our level to get that far and the £61k Prize Money plus gate receipts earnt on the way would be very handy in having a push for promotion the following year.

Yeah...I think i would take third round of cup. In a financial sense that has the potential to push on (eg) pays the bills etc. Now that is the head talking - The heart says both !

As a Bromley fan, I'm happy to say that we were able to have our cake and eat it last season, having a tie at Gillingham and getting through that heart in mouth encounter with you lovely lot.

 

For this season I'm not sure. Promotion does look acheivable at this level if we keep our momentum, and going back to last season, I think you would do rather well here with your sharp counter attacking game. I'd advise to get here as soon as possible and forego any deal with old Nick for the moment. LOL!!.

Personally I would take a cup run to the 3rd round or beating one of the bigger sides or one of the local league sides at the 1st/2nd round stage as I think not only the financial incentives but the other intangible benefits in terms of boasting the club reputation would hopefully see the club pick up a few more supporters from the local area and make it a little easier to attract players to the club
