like most others i enjoyed the game and we were much much better than sat.why trott has elected not to play more is beyond me he was terrific.smith at right back was hopeless but he was against afc best player, the winger was very quick and clever.i was impressed with the speed at which they broke something we could learn from.morris is not good enough at this level neither is axon neither know what to do with the ball when they get it i know ill get slagged off for saying this but i believe its true.when standen went off we lost our shape and when harte went it got worse still.

I absolutley fully and unreservedly concur with your assesment of Paul Axon 100% Mr Page. Why the lad has so much skill and the only thing that is missing at the moment is his knowledge of the game which will come with the more games he plays.

Youth should be encouraged and not discouraged.

Got to remember Axon is still only 17 I believe. Against Hendon I thought he did OK coming on, went on a couple of runs and got some dangerous crosses in, or was I seeing things wink

Morris is a hard worker, and a tough tackler, sometimes keeps his head down too much but most players are guilty of that at times. Once again with more experience he will come through fine.

Yes Ian you are quite right and I should not have bit. But people are forming opinions without seeing the player. I have seen Paul playing for the reserves on quite a few occasions and he is a very good player that could make it in the first team although time will tell.IMO

Axon and Morris are both good enough technically. Got to keep working on their positional play, decision making etc but that comes with experience. Hopefully they can keep getting in some game time with the first team this season to expose them to Ryman football. Two of our best prospects here and its sad to see them being slated by admittedly just one person on here. If these two are looking in I hope they take on board the amount of people who are supporting them. Hopefully Trotty can keep encouraging them and keep them involved. I think we've been unlucky with the injury/illness to Rob Haworth and hopefully now he's back we will be able to really see what this team can do again.
