The winners will play either Dartford or Folkestone at home in the next round and the winners of that will play Chipstead/ Deal Town/ Lingfield - again at home - in the 3rd Qualifying Round. Must give our lads a decent chance of another good cup run this season.

Folkestone beat Dartford 1-0 last night and Deal beat Lingfield 1-0 - both after extra time, so if we win tonight we face Folkestone at home in the next round, then if we win that its either Chipstead or Deal at home.

I popped down there, quite impressed by the young lads who played some nice football and played well together as a team. They never looked in trouble, the opposition wasa bit ragged and disorganised and quite frankly Ebbsfleet should have had a few more from the chances created. Worth a look next time they are at home.

 

As for the linesmen (Jeff Pearton & Lee Dyson) they were kept busy by the exuberance of youth both with players straying offside on numerous occassions and several over enthusiatic challenges.

The boys beat Folkestone 4-1 yesterday in front of 105 spectators according to the FA.com.

Chipstead are playing Deal tonight so we'll know our next opponents later tonight/ tomorrow, hopefully.
