Help at Beaconsfield ?

Kay Lathey has ask if we can help to kill the stinging nettles that have grown since our helpers cut them down ? anyone able to offer help to do this task ?

Chris, As I said the other day I am more than willing to come down and pull them up, if a convient time can be arranged with Beaconsfield and hopefully at this time of year they wont grow back again, obviously some help would be nice but I appreciate it is only really our problem with the kids.

 

I am free most mornings between school runs, so if you could ask when I could go down and let me know I'd be grateful

After getting stung multiple times trying to deal with them on the clear up day, it might be a good idea to get some weed killer, rather than just try to chop them back

cheers everyone ..both ourselves and Beaconsfield have tackled this problem twice ..the stingers just grow back...maybe pouring some diesel might o the trick..however good idea by Martin maybe an all out attack at about 12.20 to 1.00pm ... might help at our next saturday home match v hillingdon...

you need to dig them by the roots otherwise they will come back - otherwise put some thick plastic/carpet/cardboard over them for a few months should weaken them
