Not a good day all round i am afraid.

 

In fairness to the reserves, losing 2-1 at maidstone is no a disgrace.

Losing 2-0 at home to Hendon is.

It wasn't a disgrace Michael.They are a much better unit than last season,they are putting good results together & are up at the top on merit.

No,we didn't perform as we know we can,& if we did maybe they wouldn't have gone home with the three points but it certainly wasn't a disgrace. Only our own under-performing showed us up but again we had some very influential players out & though thats not an excuse it was certainly a contributory factor today.

A penalty miss again,when again it COULD have changed the game is something we need to sort out,though to be fair today Justins kick was extremely well struck & equally well saved by their keeper.But we do need to be tucking these gifts away thats for sure!

It wasn't so much a disgrace today rather than a disappointment I thought.

Ok.

Unreserved apologies where, without being present, i may have made unfounded judgement.

Its the passion of wanting winners and the pain of losing,combined with the odd reminder of where we were 4 seasons ago.

Then i remind myself, that the club still exists and is back playing at ts home ground.

Even so-should we really be losing to Hendon?

They may be an improved unit from last season, but with training/coaching, there is no reason why we should not be aswell

Well at least the performance of Morris is something to take from the game as we are so short of central midfield players.

 

 

At last its good to see one of the younger 'squad' players taking their chance when given.

No it just goes to show what correct coaching and management can do to bring a player on.

Margate were doing quite well by all accounts. Results don't matter at youth level its all about bringing them on.
