We are going to be highly unpredictable this season, we will lose against lower opposition and beat higher opposition. We are going to be very inconsistant this season unless we bring in some more midfield players and maybe a defender.

 

I had a good feeling at the start of the season and although it is still early days i have lost that feeling.

You are right about midfields and defenders, but we all knew this from mid May.

 

It appears the only person who did'nt was the manager who went mad signing forwards and in effect young wingers.

 

When appointed 20 months ago, RT said that central midfield is vital to control.

 

He was right, but appears to have forgotten exactly that.

 

I know DS and SM were out, but they will be out alot this season and the squad is completely unbalanced.

It does appear that Morris has potential (and impotantly, the physique to stand up to others),but probably needs a few games here and there and then really be a part of things next season

 

 

 

Last season,RT would not sign another forward until Haworth came in about March-too late.

Looks like the same again this season, excepting its central midfield and central defence where the problems are.

 

Loan players don't really help either, but guess the budget is spent now on forwards, and can't see us progressing in the cup to bring in more money i am afraid.

 

Never expected miracles this season, but lack of midfield players and defenders was just so blatantly obvious from May,that its really annoying.

As i say, never expected anything better than about 8th, , but you do expect the manager to give you a chance by having some having some common sense and balance in the postions he signs players in.

Why make noises in the media about looking for new players in these positions now when it was obvious in May.

It will probably be same as last season when we were always signing a striker but it took 5 months to happen.

Lose Tuesday and saturday and in effect, the season is over.Roll on 2008/9 season.

 

God-i really hate losing.

I guess its the passion within.

not the worse performance I have seen, at least Trotty saw the same and is totally honest with it in his interview (well done on that Wellsie)

 

Hendon remind me a bit of Ramsgate, not the best team in the world but the work rate and passion does them good

 

Got to admit I didn't ever see Hendon pass the ball backwards

A few thoughts from the Channel Islands. Saw my first game for around 12 months. The impression I got particularly after the game when I remained in the bar was that the team look so young !! surely we are crying out for some experience, good luck to the local boys I wish them the best, and hope they improve with us, as for the game I was very disappointed, Hendon were the better side no doubt, and I always felt that they could step up if they had to. They were more mobile and sharper, the two Gate central defenders I thought did well but there was no real threat from us.

 

I paid £9 to enter which I thought was a bit steep but having said that took two of my grandkids and only paid £1 each for them so £11 for the three of us a bargain. The bar was OK seems very plain and is crying out for some memorabilia or some nice prints but I hope that the longer opening can make it worthwhile.

 

I came away disappointed but looking at the future the 5 a sides etc,came the belief that we shouldnt expect too much at the moment if we can survive in this league that would be great, then when the "promised" income streams kick in, we should be able to re assess and move forward. I won't knock Trotty he is doing his best but I have the feeling that he wont be at Hartsdown come the start of next season. So all in all lets just celebrate every win we achieve and believe that as the song goes "things can only get better" !!
