Gary,

were these players released or have they left of there own accord?. Due to our seemingly present injury crisis it would seem a strange time to release them.

You didn't mention CJ? is he injured? and where was Andy Deaner?

I also heard the rumour about the playing budget being cut by 50% and because of the situation with the new stadium that Martin Deaner was no longer around which seemed to tie in with the budget cut.

I'm sure all questions reguarding the budget will be put straight Thursday at the meeting. As far as I'm concerned, Gary has said there has been no 50% cut in budget and thats what matters.

At the end of the day, the players that have been released/chosen to leave for the exception of Jacko and possibly Faircluth weren't exactly of the highest quality if they can be replaced by good quality youngsters like Tom Attrell on a lower budget surely thats good?

On the plus side people have finally got what they wanted and thats Deaner removed from the equation.

The abject officiating aside, I thought it was a very entertaining game of football and Slough played some really good stuff for long spells. The left back had an excellent game in both defence and attack and I thought the two lads out wide actually looked like they might beat their man and get a cross in. To be fair the whole team looked up for it.

I haven’t been to that many games over the last few years and I was pretty amazed to learn so many regular players were out.

I think it can only be good that a few young local lads are coming through the ranks. Tony Thompson is an old colleague of mine and although I can’t vouch for his coaching skills at first hand (although I’ve chased him around a five-a-side pitch a few times), he knows his stuff and has so much enthusiasm for the game he can only be an asset to the club.

Cheers

Mark

If Deaners gone whose going to pay for building the new stadium should we get one ?

Well it's what I want, because while it is true that Martin and Roy have kept the club afloat, their reign in charge has seen the club's reputation shot to sh1t and overseen our rapid descent down the leagues. And before anyone gives me the old 'ground sharing' argument, Maidstone and Wealdstone have done perfectly fine without home grounds.
