Bad news: I have to work this afternoon.

Good news: I have to work, but at a pc, so, with a little help from Postman Fat aka Medders, I should be able to supply regular updates. Watch this space.

Hasler, Nay, Dickie, Tickner, Magona, Campbell, Velandia, Hall, Crace, Hammatt, Jones, Edmunds, Harvey, Georgiou, Stephens, Heywood.

Andy Jones offside in the first minute. James Dickie on Solo run. At the other Maldon Town shoot over the bar. Steve Velandia makes a lovely solo run being brought down and still retaining the ball. A Maldon Town shot was saved. After a series of unpleasant tackles Frankie Everett was booked. On 23 minutes Rudi Hall makes a sublime cross from the wing for Rikki Crace to complete grazing the ball off the right near post. 0 – 1. At the other end Maldon town shoot over the bar. Maldon struggle to contain Ricci Crace as he slots through the middle and gets in one on one with keeper Gould and lobs him sublimely for it to exit the goal off the underside of the bar. NO!

Town well on top in first half but football is a game of two halves.

Enfield Town decided to stay mentally in the dressing room 1- 1. Steve Magona narrowly misses lobbing keeper Gould from the right wing halfway line. Ooo! Bryan Hammatt brought down in the box with a stone cold penalty but nothing given. Richard Georgiou and Kevin Stephens on for Velandia? and Campbell? Andy Edmunds on for Ricci Crace. Charlie Hasler saved a one on one. Suddenly it was 2 – 1 Town were now losing. Charlie Hasler forced to make a fantastic double save as his defence goes walk about (that’s for Waggamick)! Andy Jones score from a corner 2- 2. Charlie Hasler saved and saved again. Rudi Hall crosses for Richard Dickie to head wide. Andy Edmunds crosses for Andy Jones to have a header saved. 2 points lost by Enfield Town by some woeful defence.

Than goodness for Charlie Hasler for the second game in a row!

Charlie made some great saves, although i thought he could have done better with Maldons first goal.

The usual strange positional and personell choices from Jim.It seemed to be working in the first half, with some lovely passing play from Town.Second half was a complete shambles.

PS..Why the hell were we playing in the dreaded red and black???Our very pale light blue kit would never have clashed with Maldon kit in a million yaers. If we have to use the third kit everytime an opposing team have blue in their colours, our new away kit sponsors are not going to be very happy at all.

the ref last saturday did take exception to the light blue kit against a similar blus so my guess is we went for the path of least resistance!

I think we wore the red & black after last Saturdays "Kit Fiasco"
we did not wear the white kit as we will be wanting it for Tuesday. No real panic to get the Kit washed and ready is there then? unless of course you are offering to wash the Kit that is!!!!

Anyone who believed our away kit would ever clash with Dark/Royal Blue, must be totally colour blind. If we continue the same policy, the new away sponsers will hardly get any coverage,as at least a 1/4 of teams in our league have blue in their kit colours.

To the match: Dickie playing left wing-back,whilst Magona played centre-back. tiredCampbell in the holding midfield role, whilst Stephens was on the bench. tired..etc..etc

Playing five at the back without the specialist players to take advantage of that formation, practically leaves us playing like we have 10 men on the pitch.I've also never been totally convinced that we can accomadate both Velendia and Rudi in a midfield 3.Edmunds should be given a lot more time on the field.I would like to see him get the last 30 minutes in a game rather than 10-15.

Agree entirely,

Playing 5 across the back leaving 3 in mid-field means we have 3 against most teams 4 in mid-field.

You don't have to be Jose to work it out !

Give Edmunds a start on Tuesday and let him show us what he can do without the pressure of "win the game in the last 15 minutes".

Said it before, say it again.

Our current defence and selection in that area is poor.

We need a fresh "spine" to the side starting with a dominant centre back and ball winning centre of midfield.

God help us when Jonesy goes off for six weeks !

4FS Lovely Stuff you bring up this business with the kit yet again ,It is the Refs decision mate . Get over it . What the sponsers dont know wont hurt them .

I thought we had a good first half but a poor second . Agree with C H making a couple of good saves . We ground out a point which we was In my opinion lucky to get.
