Bit worrying about Aveley - They seem to be beating everybody recently and we'll have to be our best on Saturday.

 

Glad to see Uxbridge lose as well, as they were sneaking up.

I don't suppose it'll come down to it and there's still a long way to go but we also have a better goal difference than any of the others around us. If we keep putting three or four goals past teams then the others will have to beat us on points which is always a useful position to be in.

Just for the record (as of 4th March) Thame have a GD of +28.

 

OK, they are in 10th place, but only 7 points behind Slough, and it's not so many weeks back when Slough were in a similar position behind then 2nd position Wealdstone...

 

Interestingly, Thame's GD is +28 at home and 0 away!

(compared to Slough GD currently +26 Home, -2 away)

Actually we will go second if we draw on Saturday. Seems odd hornchurch dont have a Saturday fixture, is there a cup match?

 

Aveley have released 11 players this week - is this a sign of lack of confidence, lack of money, or releasing some players to bring in more for a final push?

 

Yes Thame have a great home record (but not as good as ours) and a poor away record. I think that a lot of results have been influenced by the new divisions this season. Lots of clubs visiting grounds for the first time. Since we have already been to Thame i'm not so worried. The pitch is ok and we have been there before and won.
