Id craig edwards still there???

Don't recall seeing Craig Edwards, although I didn't get to the ground in time to see their side come in, and didn't really look.

To be honest, they didn't look particularly threatening other than their goal (which was a bit of a muck up on our part) and one or two slightly dangerous balls into the box which were fairly easily dealt with. With all due respect to Aveley, it was more a case of us playing the worst we have all season (including most of our friendlies) than them being particularly good. We didn't create anything from about 20 minutes onwards other than from set-pieces, and our finishing was woeful when stuff was created.

If we'd played well, we'd almost certainly have won, but we didn't, and you've gotta give credit to them for turning up with a plan and executing it well though - several Ryman Premier sides have failed to do that this season already.

Actually, after posting that, I thought someone might think it was a veiled dig at yourselves. I was actually thinking more of the likes of Leyton and Tonbridge who appeared to be looking for a point at the outset, shutting up shop and putting solid/hard challenges in to prevent us from having time on the ball, in both cases took the lead and then messed the plan up from there.

I'd agree that (certainly first half) your plan basically worked other than the finishing. Possibly less so in the second, but obviously things'll have changed in both sides half-time team talks.

2-1 at half time.

Would rather Hendon got a result in that game. Don't fancy playing Aveley on a cold Tuesday night if our fixture is rearranged.
