Saw the ground on Setanta last week - although it looks "shiny and new" it doesn't seem to have any character.

Not sure what, apart from rust, does make it seem a homely stadium, maybe it might become a thread in the future.

yee a point isnt bad, burton are a good team, just dissapointing to lose to points so late on.

Agreed, Hastings sounds a real handfull, with a good understanding with Moore.

Shame he is only here for a month.

As we have seen in the past some players come on loan for a month and go straight back (Ryan Peters, Jamie Guy) and some come on loan for a month and stay a bit longer (Roy Essandoah, Manny Omoyinmi).

There is no guarantee that he will stay for a full month nor that he will go back at the end of a month.

The chatter on the Margate forum is that both Akinde and Luke Coleman may still continue their loan.

Must say if that happens it will be rather strange to "share" players.

To my mind they either go on loan for a set period, with the proviso of being recalled after a month, but with no further continuation of that loan thereafater.

Regularly the 'Fleet seem unable to protect a 1-0 lead and/or concede goals in the closing minutes of a game.

I think it's because while we can defend pretty well (as we seemed to tonight) we can't yet practice what is far & away the best form of defence going: keep possession when you gain it under pressure. We can cut things out & win tackles, but don't seem able to take the sting out of a team throwing the kitchen sink at us. If we could, we'd have won tonight & at Cambridge. But then we'd be the finished article & winning the league.
