staines saturday and hastings tuesday.....now unless someone knows differently I don't think we have played these two clubs before so it will be nice to host some new fans and meet some new people....staines are going well from the off and hastings after a bad start are flying.....

so let's get behind our team and hopefully see these numerous chances we are making flying into the net instead of past it....

two big home games in the league and we need 6 points....so let the grass grow..... grin......and lets get at 'em on and off the pitch... yay

I remember one of the home games. We won 1-0, the goal coming from a free kick on the half way line.

A guy called Micky Bright took it, floated it into the penalty area, everyone left it and it ended up trickling into the corner of the net.

Classic goal.

I think our youth team also won there on their way to winning the Isthmian Youth cup, or it might have been during our FA Youth Cup run of about that time when we went on to play Millwall in the 1st Round Proper, narrowly losing 1-0 at The Den (the old one).

I remember Staines' pitch as being a mud patch, but I believe it is much improved now.

I saw Hastings beat Tooting in the Ryman south play off. They were no great shakes to be honest, but word is they have invested in a couple of new faces, so will be a tough test. they had a very good striker unless I'm mistaken.

Staines are my other local side who had a mixed season last time out. But lets face it, there are no easy games in this league are there.

Hastings have just signed Tom Poole who used to be at ricay and was recently playing at Tiptree.

Staines have a couple of our former players, Peter Smith and Dwaine Clarke.
