Will Hastings start? And who will partner him if Chukki is injured?

If Moore is still out, perhaps we could see this:

Cronin

Hawkins Bostwick McCarthy Opinel

McFee Long De Bolla Purcell

Hastings Luke Coleman

Looks solid, well balanced, with good attacking options.

No doubt we will go 3-5-2 and get "done" by Darryl Clare.

So you don't agree with the informed thinking that switching to 4:4:2 and consequently losing 4:0 at home to lowly Southport cost us a play-off place last season then C.G.

No, what cost so much last year was playing Quinn for at least 10 games too many during the run in, when he was in dreadful form, and became an embarrassment.

Co-incidentally, according to the official web site report tonight, Luke played behind the 2 strikers, which, if you believe Lord Chas' commentary we were 442, meant we had Fleet Fanatic's favoured diamond 4 in midfield. (And it seemed to work!!)

Luke Moore played on the right of the midfield.

You'll also be pleased to know Gary that we played 442 and got done by Daryl Clare, although Gilroy got the goal.

Chris McPhee played right back and played an absolute blinder, so far player of the season. In second place for POS is Sacha who also did well. He looked totally gutted at the final whistle while the rest of us would have settled for a point and I guess were happy with that even though we got so close to winning. Sacha was gutted and almost needed to be carried off with grief by Daish at the end.

I am glad LD picked the appropriate team and formation last night, but I am delighted by the result.

Full backs are the most underestimated members of the team, they rarely win games, but to stop defeat, they are invariably the star players.

Moreover, in players like Opinel, McFee and Ricketts, they add those invaluable commodites to the defence which are clearly missing when we play a big 3, balance, width and most importantly, pace.

Just an

aside, Harry, was the Pirelli the sort of stadium we would be happy with, or is it as soulless and characterless as it seems on tv?
