I didn't mean who implements the decision, or enforces the policy, I meant who makes it.

Our security officer and stewarding are in my opinion second to none and are surely the envy of other clubs at our level and more than one step higher, but I'm not sure that it's fair to ask him to make decisions that are not really directly in his remit. If the club (i.e. the Board on behalf of the members) decide that bells, drums, whistles, rasberry blowing or tuneles humming are not permitted in the ground, the stwerads are requireed to politely enforce it, but it is not their decision in the first place. Suppose Dave said it was ok but it turned out that our planning permission or an ancient bye-law expressly forbids the ringing of bells? It's not fair on him. Conversely it's not fair on anyone else if he unilaterally decides it's not ok.

I think Tuesday Night games will have to remain Drumless & Bell-less due to the local Residents who will complain about absolutely anything.

You have got to feel sorry for the poor Rothwell Town Coach driver who got a load of grief from some numpty woman last night when he was trying to park his coach out of harms way, all she could do was keep bibbing her stupid hooter. She just would not listen to him when he was trying to explain to her that he was just trying to Park the thing.

Mr Safety Officer "Oh he who must be obeyed" (on matchdays that is) had to have a word to the Mad Man on the Mike last night who was trying to give a running comentary on the Penalty shoot out, he politely reminded him what time it was!!!

I agree I think on Saturday anything goes, Drums, Bells, Marching Bands (watch this space!!!!) the lot.
