How'd it go last night?

Game finished 4-2 to the Hammers.

 

I thought the first half was spoiled somewhat by an over zealous ref who sent off a Billericay lad for handball that would have looked harsh in a ryman prem game let alone an u15s friendly.

Both benches appealed to the ref who cocked a def-un.

and the half finished 3-1.

 

During the half time break both Managers appealed to the ref again, he relented and the second half began 11 aside. (well done ref)

 

The second half was a lot closer with both teams scoring a goal apiece. The Ricay goals were scored by a lad named Edkins (I think thats right) who looked very sharp.

Although only 15, he has already been moved up to the U18s, and I know Miff is keen to sign him once he reaches the dizzy heights of his 16th birthday.

 

The game eventually finished about 4 min's early due to an injury to a Westham Lad, he received a blow and a collapsed in agony, after drifting in and out of consciousness due to pain an ambulance was called. The medics had a quick look stretched him out, and after a good hard cough and a bit of unravellings the missing jewels were found and reinstated into there correct place.

 

I'm glad to say the lad was ok and traveled home with his team mates.

 

For those of you who might be interested, the crowd for this u15s game was in excess of 180, which I believe, is higher than some teams reserve games..
