at the bridge...don't we just love 'em.....and so in bright warm sunshine it was FA Cup time again today and cheshunt came to town to pit their wits against the mighty urchins....a bright start again for us but still no shooting boots as chance after chance went begging....could have been 5-0 when harry popped up on the edge of the box and hammered left footed into the net...1-0 and surely now we would run riot...

 

nope.... more chances missed and then 3 minutes into first half injury time an equaliser left us all scratching our heads....

 

second half all urchins (a good penalty appeal refused by the poor ref) and a repeat of the chelmo goal from janneys cross for kris lee to head home followed by another from MOM harry which sealed the win and sent us into mondays draw...

 

cheshunt were not a good team...put it about a bit...their goalie had a cracking game and they rightly finished with 10 men and in truth it could have been 7/8 goals but the result will do fine thank you and one day these chances are all gonna get taken.....

 

they will... they will....they will... yay

 

oh and by the way....

 

mr freeman sends his regards to the eastside..... grin

....and the game....I thought it was a decent performance, first half we should have been well and truly away, but couldn't finish. Cheshunt deserved a goal through their endeavour and our slightly skittish defending, but second half....well, more jitters, until the eastside commenced the red army chants and suddenly the boys woke up.

 

Harry was a deserving motm, he looks composed in front of goal and that is exactly what we need.

 

Bring on the next round.

woz unable 2 c the first half due 2 work but 4t the intro of kriss & tommo change the game with brillantly taken goals, & 4 mr freeman y not f uck off out when play @ home

Good result Urchins. Managed to nab the last NLP in a Cromer supermarket yesterday morning otherwise would have had to have waited till today to find out the score.

Couldnt agree more UM the stadium has been there for years and MR Freeman is now moaning about the eastside now after these years then i suggest you either go out when the urchins are at home or move house simple as.
