According to my info this is not totally true. Margate had them on a pay per play deal. This was not to everyone's liking.

However, we should not speculate on rumours as it is not helpfull to anyone.

Well maybe if we were paying something towards two players, whatever funds are released can be made available to permanently pay for a decent central midfield player who will make a massive positive difference to the season.

 

I think RT is almost are almost there and just a central midfield player and defender short, but to me, midfield player is the most important as McKimm is obviously injury prone, MCkimm,Dean and Jay are all suspension prone.

In a couple of weeks, we could easily have JJ injured,Jay inured and Mckimm and Dean suspended.

 

Above all, if you control midfield, you have a better chance of winning so to me, bolstering midfield is a priority above the defenece.

Maybe if Margate win another round in the FA Cup.club can use the prize money to get a permanent quality defender and then RT will have a useful squad that may just be capable of a top five finish. As it is, we are woefully thin on the ground;and its no use RT saying at end of the season that the squad was too small.

I suppose the fact that loan players often are kept out of FA cup ties if the loaning club does not want to risk meeting up with the other club during the competition would have no bearing on their non-showing?

Would that mean them possibly coming back to us then June,having played one game for their original club in between as did Coleman? Somehow I cant see that.I think that would be a bit bizzare would it not & possibly a first too.

However,if they suddenly come back into the team on Saturday then you will indeed have been spot on there.

Luke's goal on Saturday may well have them keep him anyway regardless of any previous arrangements.

If you listen to Liam's interview on RK he said that they could easily have been playing for Margate today, but I called them back.

 

So nothing to do with the FA Cup.

If LD stated it's nothing to do with the FA Cup we will have to take his word for it. But that is the usual reason for recalling loan players.

Absolutely right - mind you I think Mike Green also said something like "I don't know what Robin Trott's been giving/feeding him at Margate but it's certainly worked".

 

Perhaps we can have some money back or charge some sort of fee for services rendered to Gravesend!
