Banana skin averted.Well done.

A modicum of prize money aswell

Goodness knows what the squad was without Akinde and Coleman to bolster the numbers.

More importantly, as Standen suspended next week, who on earh will play in midfield next week.

I guess its looking like:

Jackson, McKimm, Morris and Pinnock.

Our squad is woefully small, but guess we just can't afford anyone else.

And I backed 3-1 & 4-0 (80/1). Was counting my money too when Standen went through one-on-one with the keeper with only an easy placing off the ball past the keeper required for me to collect. That twat cost me & as well as that he was extremely awful all game today. Good job he has a week off next week as he could do with a rest I reckon.Hope he comes back full of the form he has shown earlier in the season.I think it would have been time anyway to give Morris a run out from the start as he seems to do well when he comes on.

Team v Chatham was

SCS, Harte, Skinner, Axon, Young, Smith, Saunders, Standen, Pinnock, Side, Jackson. S:Watson (for Axon), Morris (for Pinnock), Moir (for Side). Bowles + Trott

Skinners goal was fabulous (though the pitch was long and you could just about see him grin ) Watson ruffled their defence a bit & is a useful addition to the playing numbers.

Difference of opinions. No problem with that Mark but my opinion, even if he HAD scored one of our easiest chances of the game, would still have been the same.He had a shocker today & that miss just topped off his day............. all i.m.o.

Fair play Tony...it was a shocking miss I give you that, but I thought he got stuck in well in the middle. His distribution will always be eractic, was just one of those days when the defence picked off a few too many of his passes. I'm sure he will continue to work hard and put in many more good performances throughout the season. He's come a long way in a gate shirt and is a vital part of our side IMO.

Scott got lucky today with their disallowed goal. Couldn't see anything wrong with it but ref or rather the (lino) said that a player was in Scotts view & offside. Not from where I was standing there wasnt.Scott just spilled the ball & needs to buck up(and I am one his biggest fans). He has to realise that though Charlie isn't there to push him for his place he shouldn't assume his place is guaranteed. He dosen't seem to be taking the ball as cleanly as he once used to.

Harte & Skinner were outstanding at the back. Young did fine but Smithy with his headers out need some attention but he did better as the game went on.

Standen(have said my bit on him)

Jacko is a MUST for selection every game,if possible ,& please god he is!. Without him we lack loads

Charlie & Pinns did well today but Axon didnt take his chance today.Okay give him another go some might say but will Trotty give it him?

Saunders again a terrific game & got himself involved all over the park.

Watson came on and mixed it & though still a few games short of top peakness in my view he did well.

Morris again did well for his short time on the field & surely is due a start.

The other sub was unknown to me & didnt really have much time on the pitch to show anything.

Does anyone know how badly McKimm is injured.

Is the panic over re:Jay.

I can forsee us having to play a game soon for various reasons without JJ, Mckimm, Standen and Saunders.

Now that will make for an interesting midfield line up and be interesting and heartstopping !!

Yes indeed he HAS come a long way Mark.I cannot argue that fact.He just didn't do much today for me & yes no doubt he will have better games again. As I said maybe the one game rest will do him good, especially as his place could now now be threatened by his replacement, given a good showing by that replacement.

First goal was a super footballing lesson to anyone on how to pass, play & score. Second goal an opportunist, well taken goal by Watson. Third goal a truly stupendous strike by Skinner on his right foot(I mean his wrong foot)from about 30 yds into the top corner of the net.

One player from Chatham's side that took the eye was their nippy black winger who's name I believe is BROOKES.He looked decent today & seemed a tricky customer..

Looks like it's £2,250 this year from what I can find out.

The thing about Dean that I can't fault him for is that he is so determined on the football field. Okay, he lets his temper get the better of him sometimes, but thats part of the package. I actually thought he was okay today, and I like him in the middle. He can pick out a fantastic pass with his vision, although he does sometimes go for the magical ball that doesn't come off. But I have to have my say after Cookie has been IMO a bit hard on him. Your opinion Cookie and I won't say you're wrong. I like Deano though, he's gone up in my estimations over the past year or so.
