THE GREATEST GAME ON EARTH - JOURNALIST EMDAD PUBLISHES FIRST BOOK.

Author Emdad Rahman has just released the published version of his book - THE GREATEST GAME ON EARTH - A COLLECTION OF FOOTBALLING VERSE.

Brit Emdad, aged 31, said: 'This is my first book and I hope it is the first of many.' Emdad, a local government employee, has several other writing projects in the pipeline.

'I am looking to the community to support me' he said. 'I have been writing football poetry for a year, mainly in meetings and composing in my head at odd times. I decided to place my work on the net and this summer decided to publish on a whim. I'm chuffed with the end result.'

Information regarding Emdad's book is available on his website - www.football-poems.com. Emdad edits the blog www.emdad.neemit and there are details available there too.

The Greatest Game on Earth is a book that touches on aspects of the 'beautiful game', from the amazing feeling of elation when a goal is scored to a tribute in memory of the 'galloping Major' Ferenc Puskas. Also included are Diego Maradona, Sir Alex Ferguson, Ashley Cole, David Pleat, and Liverpool's historic Champions League victory in Istanbul. The book's foreword is by ex-Margate boss and Stepney Green School PE teacher Chris Kinnear.
